THE ONIKET ALAM VISION

Sustainable Aquaculture, Strong Returns

Oniket Alam, a writer, director, and entrepreneur, owns Anahita Farms. After graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth with a National Diploma in Sound and Moving Image and a BA (Hons) in Film Production, he returned to Bangladesh and, in 2015, took over his family’s shrimp farm. Seeing the potential for something more sustainable, he transformed it into the thriving freshwater fish farm it is today. Living with his family in the peaceful village of Bhatshala, Oniket balances his creative work and his passion for aquaculture, raising his daughter and son and building a better future for his community. His story shows how vision and hard work can transform not just a farm, but a community too.
Driven by the commitment to the Bhatshala community.
Anahita Farms work through the Oniket Alam Fondation.
