MISSION
Anahita Farms, established in 1998, is dedicated to sustainably cultivating high-quality freshwater fish, enriching the lives of the Bhatshala community while preserving the natural ecosystem of southern Bangladesh. We strive to create a thriving balance where community, business, and nature flourish together.
VISION
To be the leading freshwater fish farm in the country, recognized for its commitment to sustainable practices, community empowerment, and the provision of healthy, affordable fish for all.
THE REGIONAL LEADER
In the peaceful, picturesque Bhatshala Village of Satkhira District, Anahita Farms spans 463 acres, making it a leading fish farm in the region. This expansive freshwater farm offers a significant aquaculture opportunity, poised for growth and providing investors a stake in a thriving and sustainable industry.
A LEGACY OF GROWTH
Anahita Farms, established in 1998, represents a remarkable story of community partnership and visionary leadership. Born from the collective efforts of the Bhatshala villagers, the farm initially embraced traditional shrimp culture, relying on the natural flow of the river. However, a transformative shift occurred when Oniket Alam assumed leadership. Recognizing the potential for sustainable growth and environmental stewardship, Mr. Alam transitioned the farm to a purely freshwater aquaculture model, utilizing the abundant resources of the river, rainfall, and groundwater.
This strategic decision, coupled with significant investments in robust infrastructure—including robustly built dikes, an efficient water management system, comprehensive security, and all-weather accessibility—has propelled Anahita Farms to the forefront of the region’s aquaculture industry. Our strategic location and key infrastructure improvements create a foundation for continued success and sustainable growth.
